The assessment is via a series of practical assessments and multiple choice question papers. Level 3 FREC certificate is valid for 3 years and you will need to retake this qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified. -

This Level 3 FREC (First Response Emergency Care Course) qualification is specifically designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance services, the event medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces.
About This Course
Successful candidates will gain the knowledge, skills and competences needed to deal with a wide range of emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more. This is a mandatory qualification for those wishing to obtain their SIA front line close protection licence.
Course Content
- First Response Emergency Care
- First Response Emergency Care of Trauma
- First Response Emergency Care of Medical Conditions
- Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first responder
- Assessing an incident and managing a patient's airway
- Managing an unresponsive patient and using an AED
- Administering emergency oxygen
- Administering emergency oxygen
- Assessing and managing trauma patients, including catastrophic bleeding, chest injuries, and compromised circulation
- Dealing with medical emergencies such as anaphylaxis, asthma, and diabetes
- Managing minor injuries, including wounds, burns, and eye injuries
